Intelligent Office UK (IO), the leading support services provider to UK law firms, has been appointed by Stone King to deliver reprographic, mailroom, records, facilities and front of house services at the firm’s Bath, London and Cambridge offices.
The contract began on 1st January 2019.
Stone King has been rapidly evolving and in the last 18 months alone, they have opened two new offices, grown revenue by 14% as well as implemented major technology change with a new practice management system. A key reason to outsource was to ensure that, as this level of corporate activity continues, the firm would have a robust framework in place to provide high quality support to their fee earners. The firm also wanted to work with a service partner that would focus on the professional development of the transferring staff.
Of the decision to outsource to IO, Steven Greenwood, Managing Partner at Stone King said,
“We are excited to work with IO as they are unique in the market with an unmatched knowledge of supporting large law firms which we will benefit from. A rigorous review of the services provided by IO and site visits to other firms they support clearly showed IO’s knowledge of delivering services to a wide range of law firms with different cultures and requirements. This was a key reason we have chosen IO to work with.”
Rachel McCorry, CEO at Intelligent Office made the following comments,
“We are absolutely delighted to be supporting Stone King as they continue to thrive and expand their business more widely across the UK. A fantastic group of staff join IO from Stone King, and we are looking forward to providing them with robust training from our IIP Platinum accredited programme and helping them develop their careers over the coming months and years.”
Stone King is one of three new managed services clients that IO has started working with in the last quarter alongside CBRE and Multrees.
Stone King joins an increasing number of UK top 150 law firms, which have outsourced to IO. Existing clients include; Gowling WLG, Penningtons Manches, Shearman & Sterling, Freeths, The SRA and Wiggin.
