Liam joined the organisation in 2008 having spent the previous 6 years working in finance roles for a number of global organisations in a variety of sectors.
This included a 2 year spell working in Luxembourg for one of the world’s largest asset management groups. During his time in Luxembourg, Liam was involved in a number of global projects which saw key finance processes redeveloped and outsourced to production centres around the world.
Lorraine joined Intelligent Office in 2002 having qualified with an MBA from Edinburgh University. She has 25 years of experience in managing support service teams in professional services environments and has fulfilled a number of operational and managerial roles with the business.
As Operations Director, she has overall responsibility for the company’s intellectual property and management information systems and plays a pivotal role in the business’s national projects and initiatives, developing new programs as needs emerge.
Ben joined Intelligent Office in 2015 and is responsible for the performance of key client accounts in Scotland and the North of England as well as for the leadership of the business services managers in the region.
Ben focuses on the management of the relationship with clients and stakeholders, interacting with them at senior partner or board level and ensuring the strategic direction of the contract management is in line with their expectations and objectives.
Prior to joining Intelligent Office, Ben spent eight years working for the Royal Bank of Scotland where he held a number of positions throughout the organisation. Latterly, he was the Director of Customer Management Support for Scotland where he led a team of c.120 staff who provided support to the Relationship Management teams and to commercial clients with a turnover in excess of £2m. Ben also had accountability for commercial client onboarding and led a team of 50 staff throughout the UK who managed this process. Ben has expertise in change management, business restructuring, process offshoring, risk management, staff development programmes and operations.
Paul joined the organisation in 2003 having previously worked for Bowne & Co. the outsourcing giants.
During the six years Paul was employed by Bowne he lived and worked in both London and New York, providing document management and printing services to the world’s top law firms, insurance companies and investment banks. His experience also includes the general management of the largest document print and production facility in London.
As part of our managed services offering, Paul advises our clients on all aspects of procurement and identifies savings using industry knowledge to secure bespoke solutions for supply and production. Paul regularly assists with stationery procurement, maximum density planning and developing strategies to right-size print and copier fleets and deliver paper-lite environments.
James graduated from Cambridge before completing an MBA at Stanford University in the US. James then joined US strategy firm Bain & Company, where he was based in London and promoted to Partner. Whilst at Bain, James was focused on business improvement and change management within FTSE 100 organisations.
Since leaving Bain in the late 80’s James has started, acquired and developed a number of businesses including the creation of an outsourced postroom and document services company, that was sold with turnover of £25m in 2002. Subsequently James has held a number of board positions in B to B and support services organisations many of which have grown quickly.
In addition to his role as Chairman at Intelligent Office, James is currently CEO at Parcel2Go.com and a Board Advisor and shareholder inTheSnugg.com, two fast growing consumer internet businesses.
Jonathan is responsible for service delivery to clients across our organisation.
Prior to joining Intelligent Office in January 2015, Jonathan was Chief Executive, Europe North and emerging markets of Swiss Post Solutions (SPS) a business generating close to £115m annual revenues with c.2000 people. Jonathan was a member of the SPS Extended Executive Board.
During his time with SPS Jonathan grew the business both organically and through a number of targeted acquisitions including Microgen Billing Services and most recently assets of Pitney Bowes Management Services in late 2013. Jonathan also oversaw the implementation of ISO Management, resulting in the successful award of 27001, 14001 and 9001 accreditations.
Maryanne is General Manager of Intelligent Office Transcription Services, our division providing cost effective, high quality and flexible document production support. Maryanne is responsible for overseeing the Transcription Services operation and ensuring that it consistently delivers outstanding client service, high quality outputs and operational excellence.
Before leading Transcription Services Maryanne spent three years in Business Services Manager and Client Services Manager roles in Intelligent Office’s Managed Services division where she ensured the effective delivery of our services, developed excellent client relationships and acted as the liaison for all client-facing matters in our contracts in Scotland.
Maryanne has a strong outsourcing background and prior to joining Intelligent Office worked in the financial services sector, where she outsourced her company’s back office function to India.
Maryanne holds a PRINCE2 project management qualification to practitioner level.
Rachel has leadership responsibility for the running of the business, which includes the creation and delivery of our strategy via business planning and budgeting while responding to changing markets and the needs of our clients. In addition, Rachel oversees the effective management and motivation of staff and corporate governance.
Prior to joining Intelligent Office, Rachel gained extensive experience providing document and management services to the professional services sector and latterly worked with Bowne Business Solutions in New York, where she was Global Account Director for Morgan Stanley and Client Services Director for a range of banks and law firms. Prior to this, Rachel worked as Director of Operations with Bowne & Co where she set up and managed operations across Europe and then in the US.
Margaret’s focus is on the strategic direction of the company, identifying market trends and advising on how the business can respond to them. In addition she provides guidance to the senior team, and assists in the execution of strategy, specifically related to employee engagement and external marketing and PR.
Prior to establishing Intelligent Office in 2001, Margaret spent two years in New York as Vice President of Bowne Business Solutions, who specialised in document and information management outsourcing in the investment banking and legal sectors. During that time revenues for her region grew by 33% and profit by 37%.
Prior to being based in New York, Margaret worked for Williams Lea in London managing service delivery for a number of banking, insurance, accounting and oil sector clients.
Sam joined Intelligent Office in 2008. He is responsible for managing the business development and marketing functions at Intelligent Office whilst also retaining responsibility for frontline sales in London and the south of England. Sam takes lead responsibility in progressing prospective clients from exploratory conversations through proof of concept and due diligence phases before creating a proposal for management and partnership review. Sam subsequently spends significant time with management teams to understand their requirements and help build an operational solution that will deliver value.
Prior to joining Intelligent Office Sam spent 7 years working within business development for Legal Week Magazine and laterally, the global publishing group Incisive Media plc.
Jo joined Intelligent Office as Business Development Director in December 2012. Her key responsibility is to identify new business opportunities for Intelligent Office’s Managed Services and Transcription Services divisions. Jo works with prospective law firm clients to understand their requirements and helps to design an administrative support structure which delivers the fee earners, and ultimately their clients, with outstanding service.
Prior to joining Intelligent Office, Jo spent five years at legal research firm Acritas where she had direct responsibility for servicing a number of global law firm clients, and ensuring that their research programmes and analysis helped achieve their strategic objectives. Jo also led Acritas’ advisory board of senior in-house counsel and law firm leaders.
Before Acritas, Jo worked at Legal Week for five years in both commercial and research roles.
